Hello,
I am a current high school senior. I was looking into the LECOM Early Admittance Program (3+4 or 4+4) at Chatham University and Duquesne University. I was wondering if anyone who has applied to either of these programs could let me know if I stand any chance.
You really do not give enough information about yourself to allow us to really chance you here, however your GPA is great and so is the fact that you are taking college courses in your senior year. Whenever you write your essay, you need to ensure you emphasize that you understand what kind of a program this is. LECOM is an osteopathic medicine institution. While you will graduate a full medical doctor with all rights and privileges, it is important to note that there is a difference in teaching styles compared to allopathic schools that award the MD degree. As long as you make this very apparent and you are passionate about medicine via your volunteering and other EC activities, you stand a good chance for admissions. - Admissions Track
