Early acceptance

I have not heard anything about Blue Ribbon applications, so I assume that Brandeis is not doing them this year. However, at my D’s interview over the summer, her interviewer mentioned that some people who have all their materials in by mid-December, might receive acceptances in January. He was not talking about ED1 or ED2. Does anyone know about this??? A friend’s son seems to have received a post card that mentioned it, too.

not sure what you're talking about...contact the admissions office so they can answer your question (Brandeis Admissions | Maps and Directions)

I received a special invitation to apply to Brandeis using a free application. I sent in the application and I'm guaranteed to hear by February 15th, 2008. It's not EA and it's non-binding. I guess it's similar to what used to be called the "Blue Ribbon" application, but they just don't refer to it as that anymore.

^ Can you post a link to that application?

Here is the link:

Undergraduate Admissions - Brandeis University

On the left side you will see: brandeis application online, apply now! Click there and it will take you to the application. You can use that application to apply for free, but I think the only way they will tell you by February (unless you do ED) is if they "invite" you to apply. I actually got a mailing inviting me to go onto that site and apply. In that mailing they told me if I took advantage of the invitation, they would give me a decision by 2/15. Good Luck!

^ I shot a mail to Dean of Admissions. She said they are ready to include international students but they wont be offering Wein Scholarships. So, it no longer matters to me :D Here I come ED II!

I am aware that they dont even offer that scholarship during ED II. But since I don't want to attend any other place, I can atleast show my interest to Brandeis. I had also requested an Interview but no interviewer was available in my area so they say they have noted my interview request in my file.

^^ I got that same invitation and clicked on the link included to apply, but it looks like it took me to their regular online application. Nowhere does this site mention the Feb. 15 deadline. Are they the same? Thoughts?

I used the online thing. when u use the application it says decision choices or something like that and i clicked the expidated decision by invitation only or something like that.

Now I've found it-thanks :)

But you have to be sure to use the user name and password that they assign you. My problem was that they had sent them to me in October and since I hadn't considered applying there yet, I just filed it away. Then, just recently, I got another "special invitation" but no user name etc..., just the link to the general online application. I followed that link and made an account, which did not give me the expidited option. Once I found the older email and used that account, I got the option. XP
