@Platinumxx2‌ that means you were deferred. I got it too

hey everyone…I was really confident but now I’m not so sure anymore
I still havent heard back, has anyone gotten accepted this week?

ACT: 29
GPA: 3.92
4 APs
Good Essays
good teacher recs I think
good ECs
from a catholic school

I applied as a psychology major…

@vndrev I just found out today I got in to mechanical enginnering and I applied early action!

I was deferred with a 1660 SAT, 3.6 GPA, heavy course load & good letters of rec, ec’s and essay… so if you don’t have an incredibly high sat you still have a chance!

I was deferred. The letter was sent out December 11 but I received it today. I applied EA October 30. I expected to be deferred due to my GPA. I called admissions and they are just asking me to submit my fall semester grades to strengthen my application.
Wish me luck!
STATS:
3.4 GPA
Business Major
23 ACT
No SAT
Strong extra curriculars: 4 years crew captain, church volunteer/mission work, club president, club founder, community service all 4 years
3 strong letters of recommendation; one from pastor of my church
No AP’s

@instajordy‌ Did they ask you to send your fall semester grades? I was deferred also and that is what they requested.

D was notified she got in by email a week ago. How long before she should get a packet in the mail?

Anytime, usually within a week. The package with honors at entrance looks ok, like what you would expect, there is info in there. A friend showed me the regular acceptance, it is the most disappointing acceptance letter (package? not) I have ever seen. There is a missing period at the end of a paragraph and the presentation overall was so bland, compared to others. They want kids to do a perfect application then can’t even put out a well written and typed acceptance letter - then they want to charge $60k to go there, lol. It was just so symbolic of the over inflation of pricing at some of these average schools. It actually left them with feeling of disregard for the school. I know kids are happy to get in, but I wonder if anyone else noticed this or felt the same way.

P

@olivia97 Yes. My guidance counselor called admissions and they said they are deferring me to regular admission and want to consider my senior fall grades.

MyPaw updated from Incomplete to Application Currently Under Review now that 7th sem. grades/Midyear Report received. Crossing fingers…

Just got notified that LMU is offering me a half tuition merit scholarship! The Arrupe Scholars one. Not sure if I’m in contention for the Presidential and Trustee Scholarships yet.

I just got a letter in the mail from the office of the provost guaranteeing me the Presidential scholarship and inviting me to the presidential preview weekend to interview for the Trustee scholarship.

did any deferred applicants get decisions yet?
