anyone else get in early yet? i’m still waiting for regular decision, but i love bard, and i’m so thrilled to have been accepted :)

I got in EA! I got deferred from my first choice to Feb, so I’ll see what happens with that. I do like Bard though, it’s a great choice to have.

I’m in EA! And I just got flat rejected from my ED school, so unless some RD reach schools snap me up in a couple months, I’ll be there. :)

i just got my bard letter but i also got into my ed school so i will not be attending! good luck with everything

I’m defered…Is Bard especially strict to international student in EA round?

what were you’re ed choices everyone?
I’m just wondering because I also applied EA to Bard and got in, and I really like the school but I was looking for something a bit more challenging and in Vermont so I applied EDII to Middlebury.
I’m on the fence about whether or not I’ll want to go to
Bard if and when I’m rejected from Middlebury.

Not sure where you get the idea that Bard won’t be challenging! Have you really looked into what a Bard education offers??

You took the words right out of my mouth.

The challenge begins before you even arrive. The L & T course is the only program of its kind in the country.

I have never heard anyone claim Bard wasn’t challenging…indeed, quite the opposite. Somebody in another thread pointed to this as a prime reason for the 88% first year retention rate, and it doesn’t surprise me one bit.

Also, you should read some of the other threads here, particularly a comment that Bard only accepts 5s for AP credit, where most schools accept 4s and even 3s! That alone speaks volumes about the rigor! Frankly, I think you’re mixing prestige with challenge.

That’s not to say that Midd might not be the place you prefer, but to reject Bard for lack of challenge. hmmm…

I got in EA! I just have to visit…

s10, I did EDI to Wesleyan and I’m deferred to EDII. I’m applying to Midd RD too. Good luck with everything, I hope it works out.

I got in IDP! Most likely will be attending unless I get into Oberlin regular decision , then it will be a toss up.

Congrats, everyone! Bard is awesome.

im just between bard (which i already got into) vassar (EDII) and NYU (RD), so we’ll see how that works out

Sorry,
I really got the impression that it was challenging in a different way than a conventional university. I simply meant that getting into Middleury is more challenging for me. I’m still seriously consittering Bard and I liked it a lot.
Does anyone know about overnight visits at all?

I’m in the same boat as @kakopesniski, got in EA, but couldn’t make a trip to visit!

“consittering” …****, how did you get in?
