If you are not accepted as part of EA, what are the chances of being accepted in the Regular Decision?
Super excited to be accepted (our D is loving the marketing materials she is now receiving. I would have thought this ineffective, but it does seem to have a positive influence on how she “feels” about the school and start to build a connection) now we need to plan to visit one of the accepted student weekends. Any feedback on accepted student’s weekend from those that have attended before? I know there are more events, more engaging of the student, but what if we can’t attend during one of these special weekends?
@stemGirl19 My daughter is also enjoying the packages. First, the set of school fact cards (much more fun than a brochure) and then a drawstring bag with a sticker, notebook, and other assorted items. Smart marketing, Case!
Both of my children went to college without attending Admitted Students Days (because we were out of the country or some other reason.) So they will live if they don’t go.
I think it helps with:
- Relieving anxiety…when they go off to college, they are a little bit more familiar with the campus
- Meeting people - they will have met a few people at admitted students day
- Possible meeting of roommates
- Learning more about campus opportunities/facilities, esp. for their major
- If they haven’t applied ED, then it helps them get more info to make a choice
Here is a sample schedule for Case Admitted Students day:

@STEMGirl19 Also search on “admitted students” and you can see posts like:

Great. Thanks.
@STEMGirl19 , if your daughter is on the fence about attending, the overnight visit will help her get a feel for the place. It was at Admitted Student Weekend a few years back that my son declared he had found “his people” and decided to commit.
I didnt get any of the packages and was accepted but I am a international student is that why?
Thanks
It might take longer for you to receive them?
U might be right.
@Kona2012, I hope your son made it last year. My D has a similar profile, was thus interested. Let me know. she applied
