Early Action A little too Early?

I want to apply early action to some schools with a deadline of november 15 and am taking the october SAT's but most of the colleges require i send the offical sat scores and want to know if i will have time to get the official scores sent to the colleges by november 15 or should i just apply regular decision.

You will have time. They will even accept a November test date.

yeah but wen do they send the scores to the college just to make sure.

dantheman, why don't you just contact the admissions office of the colleges? They will gladly give you the information you want to know.

BTW, andrw313, not all schools will accept November test dates for EA notification plans. It depends on the school.

i am also taking the november test dates and the schools which i wana apply early action is hofstra (which has 2 of november 15 and december 15) and northeastern of november 15 so cud i apply early action to those schools and still have the scores sent in time.

BUMP 10 char...

dantheman,

The College Board generally will send scores to the schools you designate about 3-4 weeks after the test administration date, therefore if you take the test on Oct. 14, College Board will send out on or about Nov. 3-7. If you take the SAT test(s) on Nov. 4, the send-out date will be around the last week in November (Thanksgiving gets in the way).

Each of the schools you mention, Hofstra and Northeastern, have a deadline for receipt of all admissions materials, including test scores, by Nov. 15. Hence, your taking the SAT test on Oct. 14 will be OK.

The Nov. 4 test date will NOT work for these EA timeframes. In the case of Hofstra, they have a second EA application period with a deadline of Dec. 15, and if you do not submit all materials by the first date, your application will be put into the EA II group.

ok thanks finally i get the answer i want.
