Hey. My name is Will Jo.
I'm a senior in NYC and applied to Bing through early action.
I was just wondering when we're recieving the acceptance letters for early action.
On the website it says that Decision Date is January 15th. I, however, interpreted this as the deadline to hand in my decision to Binghamton saying whether I'm going or not. Please help me out.

Thanks,
Will Jo.

no - early action does NOT require you to respond to the offer of admission that early!! it is non-binding -- you have until may1 to let them know if you accept the offer of admission.

have you looked here -- Binghamton University - Undergraduate Admissions - Dates and Deadlines

they say early action decisions will be made in january.

in the past they tended to make the decisions on a rolling basis -- if you got your stuff in early, you could hear earlier than other EA applicants. but this year they were swamped with applications -- that plus the fact that their yield went up last year -- the common assumption is that they are taking their time more this year than previously so that they can get a better look at the overall pool.

so assume you'll hear sometime in january -- if you hear earlier -- great, but don't count on it.

Ah shoot!
Thanks so much.
I have to get started on my other applications then.
There won't be enough time to wait to hear from Binghamton and then to start my other applications. Guess I should get started.

Thanks so much.
