Notice the accepteds are all 3.9-4.2+. The defers are mainly 3.2-3.6-ish. So, this is not a random process. Also, hard to be admitted early with tests in low 500s; and this is the early, early round, right? Normal early is another few weeks?

@evzonas: Your standardized test scores really hurt you. To be blunt (and sorry, admissions decisions are) they are quite low. I myself am surprised to see so many people with high 600’s getting in so it comes as little surprise that someone with 500’s isn’t. I think even though you are an international (yet not in a way) they expect your reading/writing to be in the 600’s at least. A high math alone won’t get you through, colleges want a well rounded student.

I have twins, Twin daughter was accepted with a 3.9 and a 740 Math SAT 640 Reading.
Twin son was deferred with a 3.7 and a 33 ACT( 34 Math/ 750 Math, 30 Reading)
I was not surprised he was deferred. I was more surprised daughter got accepted. I also have an older daughter who was deferred 2 years ago with a 3.9 and a 1420 SAT. She was accepted regular decision. She had 6 APs and tons of ECs, so her deferment was a surprise. Younger daughter will never let big sister forget she got into Tech on Early Decision.

If someone scores badly on CR and W ,does it mean he is not well rounded???

I have participated in 6 different sports in High School, Community work, Job Experience, President positions etc. The thing is very tough to achieve more than 550. TOEFL or IELTS are more suitable in my case(but not considered). The thing is do i have any realistic chances to be accepted mid-March,with this scores???
