Early Action Applicants

Financial Aid office told me that admission decisions are NOT linked to financial aid (most colleges say the same)

Ecampus has changed, thats how we found out. Checked and the page now says “info for accepted undergrads: accept, deny” etc. instead of “application is complete”.

Son is very very happy!!

Congratulations to all who have been accepted. SCU has been a WONDERFUL place for my kiddo who is a senior there this year. If you go to an accepted student event, let me know…she will be working there as a student ambassador. She and I would also be glad to answer any questions…if you’d like.

Great school, great programs and a terrific location!

Pixel (and others) - You are interpreting the presence of the “Admitted Undergrad Students” banner and then the “confirm enrollment”, “accept financial aid” etc. links on the ecampus page to mean that the student has been admitted, correct? Because that’s what I’m seeing for my daughter’s page, and I’m ready to be happy for her if in fact she’s been admitted.

Thanks to whoever can shed some light on this.

bayareacamom, thanks for sharing your daughter’s stats, which are very good, as I expected. My daughter’s are lower (3.4, 28 ACT), similar highly academic type of high school, out of state. She knows its a reach, so will be ok if she is not accepted. Appreciate your info, though, it is helpful for us, and I am sure for others.

Yes, Tropean! DD got acceptance letter yesterday. We checked her ecampus account after reading pixeljig’s post #22. Her page has all those links as you described and still has the old Application Status shown up - same as a month ago but moved down to the bottom of the page.

I think it’s a YES to your daughter. Congratulations!

Thanks amom, from adad )).

Tropean, yes thats what I saw. Although I must add that one word “Congratulations” would have taken the guesswork out of this delicate time. It was a bit confusing.

On this board, it seems moms and dads are more active than the daughters and sons. Where are the students??? :)

They are out enjoying their break!!! :)

Got my acceptance letter today :)

kre10, where are you from so we know how far the letters have gotten?

also, if anyone is expecting merit money, has it arrived in the acceptance envelopes?

I live in St. Paul, Minnesota.

@collegebound2729 - My daughter’s acceptance letter arrived today in Connecticut, suburbs of NYCity. And I’m not sure whether she will qualify for any merit awards, but there was no mention of anything like that in the acceptance package (which consisted of a cover letter and a glossy brochure). Good luck!
