<p>DD applied early action for scholarships and is thankfully under "design review" by College of Design. Does NCSU notify students of admission to the university while waiting to hear from the College of Design OR does one just have to wait it out for the College of Design process…meaning invite for interviews and decision in March or deferred to 2nd choice major in January? It would be such a relief to know if she has been accepted to State in general while we wait.</p>
<p>My daughter is a current Senior in the College of Design, so my info may be dated. When she applied in 2010, she did not receive acceptance into the University/COD until March 2011. She was informed in December that her application “passed” Admission Office requirements, and had been forwarded to the COD. BUT, that is not the same as admission to the University. Since NCSU only admits students by major, we still had to continue the COD process until March. She did tell me last year that the COD was experimenting with early admitting some studio majors in December (without January interviews), but I don’t know if that has continued into this year or not. <p>If she does not get the initial invite to CoD and is bumped to her 2nd choice of Education, does NCSU consider those applicants for the Goodnight Scholarship invitations which are sent in January?</p>
