I want to apply to MIT Early Action, but my grades and recs will definitely improve over the year. Is it better to apply regular apply early? Basically, will getting deferred hurt my chances at all compared to regular?

If you know you want to go to a school, your chances always go up if you apply early. Also - in the case you are deferred, your good grades may help sway them to accept you in the regular pool.

Applying ED will mean normally means that it is easier to get in, but EA doesn't.
