<p>Is there an official day the letters are to be mailed?</p>
<p>I’ve seen both December 10 and December 20 on here, and I know the website itself is vague about when it’ll be exactly, so I was just wondering. </p>
<p>I did an official tour there about 3 weeks ago and I swear they said that they are mailing letters out December 10th. That seems a little early though, and not very likely based on what I’ve heard from other people on here who have recently talked to admissions. Probably best to just expect it to be December 20th, because if it’s anything earlier than that it will be a pleasant surprise! Good luck!

<p>This is all speculation, but I think @flo515994 could be right. It could be very possible that they’re telling everyone next week, as opposed to this week, in the event that they need extra time or something. They don’t want to raise everyone’s hopes (publically), and they DEFINITELY do not want a barrage of phone calls if they mail out the letters a day later than what was said.</p>
<p>I’m from South Bend so I’m assuming I’ll be one of the first to get a letter, so I will be sure to let you know if I get it within the next couple of days :)</p>

<p>when the letters go out, ND admissions will post on their Twitter page that letters have sent. until then, trolls will make all sorts of things up. Don’t listen to all of the here-say that’ll go on, it’ll drive you crazy! Last year EA letters went out on the 18th, people in the SB area heard like 2 days later, Northeast heard on the 22nd-23rd due to a snow storm. Best of luck everyone!</p>
<p>Maybe if they would stop posting selfies of the Mona Lisa with an iPhone, we would get our letters sooner. Haha :P.</p>

<p>One thing I just realized is that if they did finish the process adequately based on pre-REA standards (i. e. good enough based on the time constraint/intent to inform before Christmas), then this year they may want to take they sweet time on review some bubble students further, wait on students who have been asked to switch from Regular, etc…</p>

<p>Since last year they mailed out letters on the Friday, I am thinking they will be mailed out on the 19th for this year EA! It’s only a guess though! :)</p>

<p>As I mentioned before, I emailed my regional admissions counselor and she said “early next week”.</p>
