I am honestly so distraight by this rn. I have gotten deferred by most of my top choices this week. sigh. including one of my safeties.

@univin2015‌ Journalism major

congrats to any who got in

FL deferred
32 ACT
3.8 UW/ 4.6 W

Lots of leadership and extracurriculars and a really good essay

defered. Why is everyone getting deferred… what does this even mean?

has anyone from MD heard back yet?

beyond confused… like omg i thought my essay was awesome. guess not.

how do deffered candidates look for getting in rd?

@millercatrpillr‌ hmmm…I had what people have told me was a very unique and powerful essay! And I also have volunteered a TON- traveled to Dallas, TX for 2 weeks in the summer to volunteer with inner city kids. Also, I play three varsity sports and I’m in several different clubs, and NHS.

Heard in PA a few minutes after 7; got deferred (unsurprisingly)

A 2350?! This makes me confident that NEU is just accepting who they are 10000% sure they want and deferring the rest. Everyone who got deferred or rejected, please understand that many people who like you or even better got rejected or deferred as well. With a score like a 2350 or even a 2050 like me, there are many other schools that are just as prestigious that may accept you. And for all of us who got deferred, there is a better chance getting in this year than many years prior from what I’ve seen.

@Cameron121 my gpa is weighted and maybe you’re right but this is the first decision I got back and NEU is one of the easier universities I applied to so it’s scary to think what future decisions hold. Thanks though man, I appreciate it.
