<p>Based on previous years, Northeastern's early action decisions are usually released on the Thursday before winter break. That would make it on December 12th this year, right?</p>
<p>Yup, historically it should be the 12th.</p>
<p>On decision release day, if you try and log into the portal in the morning, you will get the message that the portal is down. That means they are loading the decisions and emails will start coming out around 3 PM EST.</p>
<p>That’s fantastic - nice and early. My son is looking forward to monitoring the CC NEU Official EA thread.</p>
<p>I am counting down the days until the decisions are released. So eager to find out! 
It’ll either be a fantastic winter break or a sad one.</p>

<p>I believe the results start being released by email at 3:00pm EST for Boston and then it spreads from there to the greater Boston area, then the State of Massachusetts, then New England and beyond in an ever-expanding radius.</p>
<p>That is what I’ve heard as well from previous years! I live in Texas, so hopefully it won’t be too long of a wait. I already know I won’t be able to concentrate in school that day!</p>
<p>My son’s notification came around 9:00 p.m. two years ago on decision day in Texas. He’s in his second year at Northeastern and loving it. Good luck everyone!</p>

<p>So notifications are done via email, huh? Kewl, that’s what my ipod touch is for, for checking during the school day…</p>

<p>They notify you through e-mail that a status update is ready. The decision will be posted at the online application status check portal.</p>
<p>Well last year they heard on the 12th even with Sandy disturbing the process. Maybe we will find out even sooner!?!?!</p>
<p>Naw, it got delayed this year with Common App glitches</p>
<p>There are CommonApp glitches every year though</p>
<p>Will we know merit scholarships and aid already?</p>
<p>^ Yeah I want to know if we will get financial aid packages and merit aid notification with our acceptances.</p>
