<p>The procrastinator that I am is wondering that when Rice/Michigan/any other school says that the ED deadline is BY Nov 1st, does that mean BEFORE Nov 1st or does it include Nov 1st too?</p>

<p>That includes November 1st, generally until 11:59 P.M. EST. Again, that is EST; if you push past that you may run into trouble depending on the policies of your individual schools.</p>

<p>You do understand that some of those, particularly Mich, require not only an application by end of Nov 1 but also that your transcript and test score be sent by Nov 1 (not just your requesting on Nov 1 that they be sent) and both high schools and test agencies usually take much more than a day to get things out after you have requested them to be sent.</p>
<p>Yes, I sent out my transcript/scores at the beginning of October. I was just wondering the deadline for electronically submitting the CommonApp and supplement.</p>
