Early Action decision next Friday

Does anyone know what time? and when will scholarships be notified? With the decision?

December 16th @5:00 pm online :)

Scholarship notification is independent of priority decision notification timing.

good luck everybody! im sooo nervous, it could either be an amazing or terrible start to my christmas break

5:00 pm what time zone? Can’t wait  Hope all goes well for everyone! What is everyone’s stats?

I’m guessing CT, but I don’t know.

My stats
3.45/4 GPA
26 ACT
Asian
AP classes taking/taken
Psychology
Chemistry
Biology
AB calculus
Spanish
I’ve taken some summer classes to get ahead (dunno if that helps)
Worked at the hospital
Volunteered at many places in need.
Cross Country (2 years) and Track (4 years).
Also in Quizbowl.
Middle class/lower family.
I believe my essays were as best as I can. From the heart and I don’t believe there were any grammar errors.
I’m just so excited and scared. I’ll be the first one from my family to attend a University rather than a commercial or community college.
I’m also applying to LAS Biochemistry.
GOODLUCK EVERYONE.

I applied for Computer Engineering but on my application summary my major has now changed to DGS,
anyone else been switched to a different major?
Do you think there’s a good chance I got into DGS?

I’m so excited! Good luck to everyone!!! :D

@ smiley0809:

i applied in sept to chemical engineering and mine still says (major: chemical engineering)

application major suddenly changed from College of Business to DGS/undeclared. From Illinois; ACT = 33; GPA = 3.79 weighted with strong rigor; Rank 85 percentile; EC - good. What it means?Any thoughts?

@ lorddong it means you didn’t get into business but most likely you got an alternative offer into DGS

I looked on older forums on here usually when that happened they got accepted but into DGS not their first choice major

It’s not a 100% guarantee though

Thanks, Smiley0809! correction in my GPA- 3.79 UW; 4.72-W;

Can someone please chance me? Will chance back

Does everyone’s application summary say “Your application is complete and is ready for review”? It sounds correct to me, but some other posts in past forums are starting to confuse me.

Agree, Patrickm;it says “Your application is complete and is ready for review”; Last few days confusing part for some is the major changing to DGS/undeclared than what was applied.

@Patrickm Mine still says “Complete and ready for review” I don’t think it’s going to change until Friday when they release decisions

Then it will change to decision made and under decision made will be admit or deny

Purdue and some other schools I applied to have the exact same format for application statuses and my application status didn’t change from “complete and ready for review” until they released decisions

Ok thanks guys (or gals)!
I am still trying to figure out how to react to the decision whether I am accepted or not lol. I am applying to the computer science major in the department of engineering. It is ranked 5th in the country for computer science so I suppose I should be pretty excited if I get in. The only thing better would be Carnegie Mellon, UC Berkeley, MIT, or Stanford. I am interested in visiting it. So maybe I will have a chance to do that, if I get in, this winter break. I wish everyone good luck.

What do you randoms think a 31 ACT, top 10 of ~350 kids, and about a 3.7 unweighted GPA faces for computer science?

yes, if your major was changed from something into dgs, it means that you didn’t get into the major you applied for, but the school is still considering you for dgs, which is the undeclared school in the university. i’m a current freshmen at uiuc and i confirm this.
