Early Action/Decision

I didn't really understand the early admission program that was explained on the emory website. So my question is that if you apply to Oxford College EA, must you also apply to Emory College ED?

No, you do not need to apply to both; unless you want to. early decision (Emory) is binding, meaning you can only apply to one school early decision because it requires that you withdraw any other application and you must attend that school. early action (oxford) is not binding but rather allows you to get a decision earlier than regular decision. they are two different schools and give different decisions, supposedly unrelated.

thanks mentalmystic, but on the common app when I go to my emory university application I think it makes me put down early decision for emory college first, it doesn't seem to have a selection for just oxford college early action.
do you or does anyone else know how to apply only to oxford college on the common app?

I don't know if this will work or not, but the Oxford Scholars Program is like an early action to Oxford.

So if you select the option for Oxford Scholars on the Emory supplement, you might also be considered as an early actioner(idk if that's a word).
