Early Action for Dickinson 2015 Applicants

I received a response saying we’ll hear about our decisions within a week.

But obviously, that’s just a conservative timeline because Twitter says this week!

The College Board document request doesn’t mean anything, unfortunately; every school that requires certain documents (i.e., W-2) show up on a list of schools that have requirements above and beyond the form filled out via College Board. In other words, they are just ensuring that all the documents required to process the CSS are filed by the deadlines. It is, as noted above, a courtesy prompt and kicks in automatically based on College Board’s system. I’m told the only people who don’t get the reminder are those who filed all the necessary documents at the same time they filled out the CSS forms.

We received that email referenced by janjmom for 5 schools. Just FYI.

That means Thursday or Friday! I think!

I say Friday at 5:00 so overbearing and whiny parents cannot call anyone until Monday.

Twitter says this week.

Just checked twitter, looks like its getting close.

Waiting is the worst. There is still much to do. Release will not be today, but will be this week. #hanginthere!

5:00 Friday is like “take out the trash” on The West Wing.

okay, at least we know it’s not today…

why did we decide it wasn’t today, @janjmom ?

never mind i just saw it on twitter.

Yesterday I tweeted about the anticipation for early action release and they responded saying they will be out this week! So either today or tomorrow!

See # dson2019 on Twitter Still signing and putting packets together today

Which means it still could be today or tomorrow…

Is anyone willing to call and ask?

Dickinson is still signing letters. They just tweeted, but it’s a “different kind of signing.”

“different kind of signing” is a reference to yesterday’s national signing day for Division I football players. I bet 5:00 EST on Friday. Keeps overbearing parents from calling office for a couple days.

I called and asked. They said, “It’s going to be very, very, very, very soon. Decisions will be released to the student’s email then packets will go out in regular mail to accepted students only.”

I believe she meant to say that an email would tell the student to check the portal.

Then I asked, “Will they go out today?”

She replied, “I can’t say a specific date because if something goes wrong then panic sets in, but tell your student to keep checking email.”

I’m not sure if this helps us or makes it worse!!! Fingers crossed…

@DODIAT are you an overbearing parent?

An admissions person wrote: “So excited to welcome the next round of Dickinsonians as decisions come out…hopefully soon?” Seems hopeful!
