Early Action = Higher Chances?

<p>I know that early decision tends to lead to a better chance of acceptance (yield rate protected, etc.), but for schools like NEU that only have early action, do students who apply EA receive the same luxury of a higher percentage of admisson? </p>

<p>I am trying to decide whether to apply EA or RD. I am more inclined to go the EA route, but then the admissions officers won't receive my first semester grades (which will boost my GPA).</p>

<p>Based on my experience, I don’t think EA offers a very big advantage in terms of just getting in, so if first semester will help, I would wait. I believe it does, however, help in admission to the honors program, so if you really want that, but your on the edge, I would go EA.</p>
