Early Action Letters

Anyone have any word as to when these are going out? They were already out at this time last year. We are just a little anxious!

According to the Loyola website, early action notification is by January 15, and is only by snail mail. See:

[First-Year Applicants \ Undergraduate Studies \ Loyola University Maryland](Page Not Found - Loyola University Maryland)

This timeframe was also confirmed in an email my son received after submitting his EA application. So, if you haven’t received anything, I wouldn’t be anxious in the least.

Thanks for the info! I realize that the official response date isn’t until Jan 15th, but according to the posts in last year’s forum, students received their notifications between Dec 17th and Dec 19th. Unless the response date changed since last year, I was assuming students would be notified in the same timeframe as last year.

Keep in mind that Loyola extended their EA deadline a few days, so they may need more time.

waiting…

so anxious!

I’m applying for Engineering EA
ACT 28
any other potential Loyola engineers out there?

My son is applying EA to Loyola for Engineering. Best wishes to you and merry Christmas!

Anyone hear anything? I applied for the dual program with JH for nursing. Upset it has been terminated. Still waiting for an answer for bio… Heard back from everyone but loyola!

No nothing yet from Loyola…I believe not until next Tuesday, January 15th. Will it be online?

Received Loyola magazine/brochure today, but no letter…

Has anyone else received an email inviting them to this Friday’s game against Fairfield? Haven’t heard anything via snail mail but wondering if this is a good sign…

I got the game email too, I think it’s probably only for CT residents. I know that they only notify via writing so it might be a little time.

We live in NY & received the same email.

Hi,

My son (from CT) also got the email about the game. My son also applied to Engineering and waiting patiently…lol. He is waiting for 4 schools to respond by the 15th. I personally think Loyola would be a great choice for him, so I am very hopeful. Good luck to all of you!

My son also received the email inviting him to next Friday’s BBall game with complimentary tickets. We live on Long Island. Good sign?

My son also got the email about the Hounds / Stags game on Friday with complimentary tix. We live in NJ. I personally don’t read too much into the email, other than Loyola trying to stay engaged and maintain a high mind share with its applicant pool. Good marketing strategy on their part.

We live in CT and also received the email. I find it difficult to believe that they would send someone such an email who was rejected. At this late date they know who is in and who is not and are just working on the fringe applicants. I think it’s a good sign. My daughter received the same offer from a school that already accepted her. Seems to be a theme.

Overall, my son is pretty confident about getting a positive response from Loyola, given that they’ve already invited him to apply for the Honor’s program. What is particulary cruicial for this school is if he is offered merit aid and how much he gets. So it seems that mid-February – the time for merit notification based on past years – is also a key date here. This is a school that could jump from middle of the pack on his interest right into the lead given a compelling merit offer.

It’s almost January 15th, has anyone received an early action acceptance letter yet?
