<p>Officially is says letters go out on Feb 1st. Has anybody received anything yet? Hoping Feb 1 was just a conservative date.</p>

I see a CC thread from last year (<a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/dickinson-college/1278930-early-action-applicants.html[/url]”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/dickinson-college/1278930-early-action-applicants.html</a>) indicating that students got email telling them to check the applicant portal - but the email came a few days <em>after</em> 1 Feb:</p>

<p>Yes, got the parents’ email on 22 Jan.</p>
<p>The parent e-mail welcomed the first ( ED) accepted students to the class of 2017. It seemed a bit late since these acceptances are round one of ED and over a month old. My S is an EA applicant and I thought the e-mail was referring to that pool of applicants. Seemed anticlimactic and we were disappointed. I guess Feb 1st is the date the decisions will be mailed.</p>
<p>My DS is EA so I was surprised when we received the email. So did they send it to all applicants?</p>
<p>My DD is EA as well and we too received the January parent’s e-mail. Don’t know if we can make anything of that, but her guidance counselor did receive a call from Dickinson last week asking if our D was still interested in Dickinson. We took that as a hopeful sign!</p>
<p>We got the parent email too, and D is an EA applicant. It didn’t have anything in it suggesting admisson, though I’d love to believe it was accidentally sent to those for whom they’ve already decided! Not much longer to wait.</p>
<p>We received it also. Nouve55- I also thought it was referring to EA applicants. It is strange that they sent out a newsletter making it sound like the ED news was new- when it’s a month old.</p>
<p>I also applied early action to Dickinson, and can’t wait to hear back! I am in contact with the cross country coach and he said that admission decisions would likely be released on February 6th. Im still kind of hoping for earlier…the waiting is killing me.</p>
<p>My DD is also an EA applicant. I got the newsletter too…it made me jump when I saw it (we both really like Dickinson) but then felt let down. Hope the letter comes soon! After all these months of looking, visiting and researching schools this waiting is making me crazy.</p>

<p>“expect”. They may come later too.</p>
<p>Do they post their decision on website or do they send regular mail?</p>
<p>According to the @DickinsonAdmit twitter feed, decisions will be posted on the applicant portal.</p>

<p>The portal says Thursday, 7 February.</p>
