However, there was no mention of the honors program or a Singer invite…</p>

<p>My son got a rejection letter. This was a stretch school for him and it’s not a big surprise. He has been accepted at 5 other schools, so we have lots of choices. Congrats to those who made it in.</p>

<p>No, just Singer. I can’t find anything current about the Stamps scholarship but this article sounds like it’s for the Frost School of Music

<p>We also got the offer of $24k. Is this standard for folks? Also, it says “annual award” for the 2011/2012 school year which makes it sound like a one year only scholarship. Does everyone else read that way?</p>
<p>The 24k is probably for all 4 years. But that article about the Frost School was released in May of 2009, almost 2 years ago at this point. And it mentions nothing about financial assistance or anything that the person who got the email posted. I think this is something completely new that they just started implementing.</p>
<p>Those scholarships are annual awards, renewable for 4 years. So the University scholarship is $24,000 a year renewable for 4 years, assuming GPA is good, etc.

<p>Curious about the email you got MPWMOM - was this in the email account that was set us thru your son’s myUM? Do you know if the same information is in his myUM account page?</p>

<p>ZincWhiskers - it came to the email set up on MyUM, which was my email. I can’t find any reference to it on the MyUm site so I think it’s just in email. Good luck!</p>

<p>Where in the packet does it talk about your scholarship. Mom can’t find anything about it. Admissions officer said I would definitely get one with a 31
ACT and 3.86 GPA</p>
