hi, so i have been checking my status regularly but still havent heard anything. my application was completed november 10 and ive been checking all these different threads as well, so i see that everyone is on the same page as me haha. but i was just wondering, what are my chances of getting into the honors program and getting a scholarship? my gpa is a 3.9, my sats an 1810 (my weakness) and my act without writing is a 27… (other weaknesS) but all my grades are As. i was just wondering how everyone else was compared to me that got into the honors college and/or received merit scholarships…?

^
I have a 3.6 GPA, 2110 SATs, out of state and I got the half-tuition scholy but no honors college

Does anyone know the OFFICIAL date or timeline that they are supposed to respond by. I called them up and they quickly mumbled something and hungup before I could say goodbye. Uconn is my number one choice so if ANY OF THE ADMISSIONS OFFICERS SEE THIS <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< I WANT TO GO TO UCONN UNLIKE HALF THE OTHER CONNECTICUT APPLICANTS WHO APPLY THERE JUST FOR THE HECK OF IT. I ACTUALLY WILL GO THERE RIGHT NOW.

i called the admissions office sometime in december when my online account was not working and there was a recording that said all EA decisions should be released by feb 15. i do have a friend though who applied 2 years ago and they never got back to her so that makes me kind of nervous.

Hahaha i had a problem for the longest time, because they apparently blocked my email for some reason. So i never got even a confirmation email from them. So then I called them a million times, and I kept getting a residential address. Being out of state, and slightly ■■■■■■■■, I never dialed “1” before the area code…needless to say, when I figured that out, I thought I shouldn’t be accepted anywhere haha. But it all worked out and I got in touch with them the day I got out on Christmas break and the lady gave me my ID number and such. Yah so by Feb. 15th seems to be the deadline

^ I forgot my password earlier this month but solved my problem after talking to the people at the UCONN IT center (I thought they were helpful). I’m still waiting for a decision to be signed to my application…Trying to stay optimistic

My application was completed Nov. 3rd. Hope I hear soon (UCONN is my #1)!

A few kids in my school who applied a month after I did just heard back (they all got rejected) , getting a little nervous… -_-

Do u happen to know what their scores n gpa are ?

See the problem with my application is that I want to send them my semester grades, yet we have been getting a lot of snow days at once (two this week, one last week), which pushes our midterms back. The rest of this week and next week is going to be h-ell.

Go ahead, then overnight them to the address at the bottom of the Status Check page. I just sent in my son’s recent athletics recognition award. Maybe that’s going to tip the scales, right? Good luck.

yea the snow we’ve been getting in NJ is ridiculouss, I mean the first few were great, but now they’re just getting really annoying. My midterms have been pushed back a couple times too, (I only have one more tomorrow) :). And the thing that sucks is that usually the admissions office closes when the campus does for snow emergencies, which has been a lot.

@Bdangle thanks for the info! i just got in this morning :D!
it didnt say anything about the honors college, but i hope i get some kind of scholarship…im OOS also so its pretty expensive :\ but thanks for the advice!

i just got the 4 weeks notification…yay!

Congrats redeyes when was ur app completed

applied nov 3rd nothing.
what are my chances

1800 sat (weakness)
uconn is my number 1

yes of course you will get in, do you really need to ask? the SAT might dq you from any honors programs though.

and i submitted my part of the application november 21, but there was a mixup with my school paperwork that didn’t get sorted out until december 16, so that was my application date. but i really don’t think that matters, i’m pretty sure the order they admit is based on other things.

plus: it’s 24 hours later and my status still says the 4 weeks thing, no decision. when does that usually change?

when an application status changes to 4 weeks or notifies you of your acceptance, do you recieve and email as well? my application has been completed since the end of november and still nothing…

i just got the 4 week notification last night at 1030 but my app wasnt completed until dec 16

once the website indicates you are accepted into UCONN when do they tell you ON THE WEBSITE you are in HONORS and then when do they tell you you get $ (looking for non-needs based $$)…

OR is all that sent via snail mail ?

thx !

mine was completed oct 19
still no answer
