The website says December 19th but does that mean they are sending them out on the 19th or we will have them on the 19th?

Last year a few people got them before the official date, my D’s arrived on the official date even though we live 1000 miles away. And some people reported them after the official date.

So my guess is that they will have them all mailed out by the 19th, but they actually start mailing some of them a few days before.

We live in SC and my D received her acceptance yesterday…actually, she received 2 acceptances! LOL Good luck!

Can you find out about acceptance online? If so, where?

someone in my area found out today but i did not.
i do not think you can find out online till the posted date.

My daughter received her acceptance letter in today’s mail (North Carolina resident).

Received today in Ohio. Did anyone have an information about scholarship or Honors college?

Still waiting for mail to be delivered in California…keeping my fingers crossed

Bummer…no letter today

My DS got his today. We live in Georgia. Nothing about Honors or scholarships. I tried to get that online but I don’t think they have that part up for us yet.

yankees Remember it has to make it all the way out to California. I would think that would take days longer than just making it to Georgia.:)

I am really hoping it comes soon. I am waiting for acceptance/scholarships/honors before I visit campus.

I think they start notifying about honors college mid December and roll acceptances out until mid February. It is separate from acceptance to USC. Students who are invited to compete for Carolina/McNair I think hear in January (2 years ago, scholar weekend was over Presidents’ Day weekend). In the past, even if you hear about acceptance to USC in December, you don’t get your final scholarship package until March. Now if you’re accepted and a national merit finalist, that is an automatic Leiber (but still won’t get that in writing until March). Scholars Day is sometime in March for all who receive scholarships.

Things may change from year to year, so contact admissions or financial aid for specific questions.

D received her letter yesterday in NC. There was no information about Honors.

My D received her acceptance to USC in Dec (she wasn’t early action but did turn stuff in for honors deadline, which is earlier) but didn’t receive honors letter until later, so don’t expect them at same time.

scmom12…Is there any correlation when you receive your acceptance and your chances to get into Honors Program/scholarships?

^^I’m not sure. I know people were still finding out about honors until mid february, but not sure what that means about when they received university acceptance. All HC students get some kind of scholarship though.

It is hard to wait and USC sends out scholarship/honors info late in my opinion. Makes the decision making process a little more difficult.

It does seem late and I agree it can be frustrating, but pretty consistant with other schools. In fact, both Ds had schools that didn’t send/post any regular acceptances until April 1 and money info after that. Hard to wait and weigh options that are due on May 1 when don’t have all the offers in hand until April! Unless they’ve changed it, even if you have acceptance, you won’t get final money award from USC until March. (and I don’t know about need-based awards)

We’re getting a bit nervous here…we live in SC and several of my Ds friends have heard that they have been accepted. We haven’t heard anything yet. My D applied to the honors college so I’m wondering if that’s what is taking longer? Has anyone who applied to the honors college heard yet?

Yes my DD applied to honors and got the acceptance yesterday. We are in Ohio. Our name is at the beginning of the alphabet - could that make a difference? Just an idea?
