Early action notification?

Chances are they haven’t even mailed them all out yet.

I know it is frustrating when others get their letters and you are anxiously waiting, but really there is nothing to be nervous about. You can’t read anything into who gets it when, because there are lots of factors, not least of which is the speed of the post office. It doesn’t mean anything if yours comes in a week.

So try not to be too nervous. :)

And if it is any consolation, my state flagship takes over a month to send out the early acceptances, and last year was still sending out regular acceptance letters three weeks into April.

SC has their act together much better than that.

ahsmuoh - Congrats! Did your D get her honors acceptance as well?

notrich - Thanks, for your kind words. We just assumed since we are in-state and many of my D’s classmates have heard, that we would have as well.

Momcub - My DS got his acceptance yesterday, but is the only one out of everyone in his class to have gotten one. I know of at least four in his class who applied. We’re in SC also. These rolling acceptances are really frustrating! Hang in there :)

momcub - no - there was nothing about honors or scholarship. I had asked on this thread earlier about that and someone that seemed to know said they would come later.

HOpefully there will be a big envelope in the mailbox today for your student!

Still no envelope here in NC. D has 1490/2120, 4.8 GPA, NMSF, etc. Would be nice to hear before Christmas but Admissions Office is going to be closed all next week so I don’t know if that’s going to happen.

Still havent received decision called admissions office today and said that they were sending out the last part of the early notification and that I would receive my decision within a week.

My S got his regular acceptance last Saturday and received Honors College acceptance today - a week later (we are in SC). As others posted they don’t confirm the scholarship amount until March. They also indicated that if you qualified for the Fellows they will give you additional money as well.
