Does anyone know when we'll be getting notified if we got accepted to Fairfield U under early action this year?

I was wondering that too. I haven’t even got anything along the lines of, “hi, we got your application…” I feel like they fell off the face of the earth.

You probably should have gotten a login to their my.Fairfield portal to check your application status.

When my older son was accepted two years ago, he found out before Christmas so that’s what I’m expecting for my second son. I agree - they’re very quiet and don’t communicate much. Same thing happened two years ago.

I only got my email confirming they got my application. I’m assuming we will be notified before January 1st.

They sent out the letters yesterday and I got mine today! Accepted with a $22,000 scholarship to the college of engineering! :D

Congratulations, craftlover!
What state do you live in?

Thank You! And I live in CT which is probably why I got it so early lol.

Thanks. We’re in NY and my son is going crazy waiting -
I guess it’ll be tomorrow.

Will you be attending Fairfield or are you still waiting to hear from other schools?

Yea, probably tomorrow and I’m still waiting for other colleges. Although hopefully I’ll be able to go to my first choice Northeastern U if I can come up with the money financial aid didn’t cover with scholarships etc. But I wish your son the best! :)

Good luck to you whatever you decide.
My older son goes to Northeastern, also an excellent school!
You have some great choices!

Thank you! (:

Got mine in the mail today. Accepted

trackstar6 That’s Awesome!!! (:

Son got his in the mail today, too.

Ditto in MA and nothing but good news for DS.

:) My son got into the business school. He also received the Loyola Scholarship of $11,500 per year. That was a nice surprise! Good luck to all!

Congrats on your acceptance. What do you know about the engineering school? My son was also accepted.

Important aspect of the engineering school is that it is accredited by ABET. That puts the classes that the students take on par with all the other engineering universities/colleges (not necessarily how difficult the prof teaches it just same classes as others take).

According to their latest common data set, 3% of the degrees earned were from the engineering program as a whole. With roughly 4000 kids/ 1000 seniors / that’s 30 earning degrees from engineering college all programs. It’s a very small number (actually heard 45 graduates on the tour) but that also means smaller classes, no TA’s, get to know the profs, opportunities for some research. The course curriculum is on their website and seems to be a very good broad general knowledge program with a strong engineering course load.

Also can’t beat the beautiful campus.

I got in last Friday with $11,500 scholarship as well!
