Hey I was just wondering if anyone knew whether the early action responses were going to be coming in through email or regular letter mail. I know some other schools have started to notify applicants through email and I was wondering what Fordham's process was going to be?

there is another topic about mailing decisions, but they mail them i guess.

Okay i have the same question and i saw the other thread but snail mail doesnt make sense to me because in the Fordham website it says that we will have our decisions by December 25. December 25 is Christmas. there is no mail on Christmas. So why would they say that we are going to get our letters on a day where there is no mail?
Im sorry if this is kind of disjointed, im just freaking out a little bit.

It’s by Dec. 25th, usually the week before.

My friend called the admissions office today and they told him they are mailing the letters December 15, so we should get them soon after.

Although, this might just be for the choice application. Im not sure

I don’t know about EA, but I presume it is the same as RD. Some students hear by email…we did…a few days ahead of the snail mail arriving (D1 applied RD). Were we a select few who got that advance notice? Maybe…I’m not sure. The so called “national day of reckoning for EA/ED applicants” at every school is December 15. Some colleges notify you by email, but most do it by snail mail. Depending on when your mail gets there, you will know within 5 days, or the 19th.

Some colleges sent out batches today and more batches tomorrow and some on Monday. Some colleges mail the entire batch on the 15th. Fordham typically mails out in several batches but I don’t know how they treat EA and how many applications they received this year. If I were you I would just look in your mailbox everyday starting monday…through next week to completion.

Be patient. Its a stressful time for everyone. Good luck to everyone.
