Does anyone know when they will send out the acceptance letters? When did they send them out last year? Does anyone know if the standard, thin envelope = bad news, thick/large envelope = good news applies? Are there any tricks to finding out ahead of time? Needless to say, there are many anxious students awaiting next week's news.

My D's acceptance last year came before Christmas in large envelope with a FU folder inside.

There wasn't any tricks to find out ahead of time - they were prety old school - nothing online!

Good luck.

You missed some earlier discussion on this http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/fordham-university/598586-three-very-important-questions-about-acceptance-process.html

Two years ago we got a "likely" notification by email just ahead of the Thick Envelope. But that was RD not EA. The RD package came with the financial package they offered as well. So you know.

I did, indeed, miss that thread! Thanks so much.

It's going to be sometime before Christmas. It would really suck to get rejected Christmas day. lol.

Do you guys think I can I call and ask them? :-0!

I’m waiting for this one too! I heard they send letters December 15th and they will come before X-mas.

I received my letter last year on December 17th. The envelope was large, but very thin. It is mainly a maroon bifold thing (really cool opening, actually), with the Fordham logo embedded on the front.

There was some speculation about being able to sign in and view this or that. Personally, I saw nothing of what others saw (figured I was rejected), but it turns out that I was accepted, so don’t let that fool you.

Edit: Don’t call and harass them. Mainly, the people in that office are mindless. I’ve never dealt with a more incompetent set of Fordham workers. You’ll receive mixed replies and it’ll drive you up the wall. Just, as hard as this sounds, wait it out!

THey aren’t incompetent, just overwhelmed with callers!! So just sit tight and remember, everytime you call and ask, it takes time away from getting out those envelopes!! BTW many of the staff are paid student workers who are really doing the best they can, and if you get different answers on different days its because the status has indeed changed (I know, my child works in on of the offices)

Hey! Do you guys know how Fordham sends the decisions to internationals? do they send it via DHL, Fedex and other couriers?
