and got kinda confused. i'm a good student, the only thing holding me down is my ACT score of 28. so should i just apply now, before nov 1st, or will waiting until after the 1st keep them from possibly deferring me? which is something they could do if i applied early..... when is the time i have the greatest chance of getting in??</p>

<p>If you apply after the 1st they likely won’t defer you, but instead would reject you if they had doubts or possibly waitlist you.</p>

<p>Deferment is not necessarily a bad thing in that you have time to supplement your application and make your file stronger by sending new additions to your application. </p>

<p>If I were you, I would apply right away and make the Nov. 1st deadline. There really isn’t anything to lose because you will get your decision faster and if you are deferred you will have the ability to make your application stronger and possibly gain admission that way.</p>

<p>Wow, how is the 28 ACT the only thing holding you back? You should highlight that your ACT score is between their average range ( wish I had a 28) and they suggest you apply by the Nov. 1st date.</p>
