What if I were accepted into my #1 (Stanford) which is Early Action, non-binding, and also accepted to a lower ranked one (non-binding or not, doesn't matter), and say, hypothetical, that this was actually possible and I wanted to go to my #2 school, could I do so? My thoughts are that Stanford is non-binding so that you could go to a lower ranked school, but I'm unsure if College Match will only give the highest ranked college as an option. I'm just trying to clarify before November 9th, the deadline for changing rankings, just to know my options, though this situation is very improbable.

I believe we only hear about the highest rank.

Really? I would like to know which ones accept me, that would suck if Questbridge took that away from us finalists… Well I’ll be happy if I just get one acceptance =D

Yes, if you are matched, you are only told of your highest ranked school that chose you as well.

But if you really want to go to your lower-ranked school, then it can’t hurt to apply. You’ll probably qualify for a fee waiver, and if you get into Stanford then you should have a good chance at the other schools (also, if they did accept you for the college match, they’d probably accept you regular decision).

I wonder if they really WOULD accept us through Regular Decision. I’ve never quite thought about qualifying for my lower ranked universities.

There are MANY, I should say most, QB finalists who qualify for several of their ranked schools (based on previous years.) Take a deep breath. :)
