Early Action? Post your stats?

Yeah, I understand what you mean. As for the location, it will not impact your admission decision; however, I know that some people from different regions of NY are getting their responses quicker than others.

hmm well a lot of kids at my school that applied to binghamton EA already got in... except for the people who applied to the SOM (i applied there). maybe that's why?
it's just really frustrating cuz now i have to go to guidance and tell them to submit my stuff to some safeties. binghamton's the only match school i applied to, and i don't have any safeties.

wow. i just realized in my other post i spelled "effect" using its homophone... i hope admissions officers don't read these things, although i wouldn't be surprised if they do.

Someone in my class whose last name is alphabetically after mine was accepted before the break.. I still have yet to hear.

I'm a SOM hopeful too though...

I haven't heard zilch yet. I got an e-mail that said decisions will be ready by the 15th...

Slater, and the others, I have friends who still haven't heard as well. So don't panic, you're not alone.

I honestly don't understand the order that they are doing it in. I mailed my stuff on the 15th, the last possible day, yet some of my friends had everything in a month or so earlier. I had my decision like 2 weeks ago and they are still waiting. Unless they do it by which school you applied to, it doesn't seem to make sense.

remember -- the day you mailed stuff isn't necessarily the day (or order) that stuff is entered into their system. also there are separate admissions counselors for the different geographic regions and i think (not sure) possibly for the separate schools (or at least different criteria apply for some of the separate schools). you could make yourself crazy trying to figure out what order they are taking things in.

Applied Regular Decision but recieved my decsion today.

So happy that I am actually going to college!

deferred. i hate this.

what! how did you apply regular decision and hear before people who applied early...

No clue...my guess is that my application was complete so they just reviewed it.

Undeclared Major

the online status thingie said that my application has been complete since the first time I logged on, which was early december. i have a theory that they haven't made decisions for SOM students yet - have you heard about any SOM applicants' decisions yet?

There have reportedly been people who have been accepted into SOM, but it seems like SOM applicants are hearing later than say, Harput applicants...

I'm a SOM applicant and I've yet to hear a thing.

Still Haven't Heard. Have I Been Rejected?

i just heard today! accepted! phew :)
man, that was an agonizing wait....

So then my theory that the accepted people found out before the deferred people is totally wrong.

Yet another theory of mine proved incorrect.
