My grades have improved every year from C's and B's in 9th grade to B's in 10th grade to A's and B's in 11th. Now I'm a senior and I have pretty much all A's.

Some people told me that if I apply early action, I'd most likely get deferred rather than denied. If that's the case, would the colleges see my updated transcript?

If not, would it be a better decision to wait for regular decision, or is applying early still more beneficial?

If all of your first semester grades this year are going to be A's, you'll probably have a much better chance of admission by going the RD route.

Colleges will see your updated transcript only if you have your school send the Mid-Year Report to them.

You can apply EA; I'd just mention that your current average for senior year 1st quarter is an "A" and that you'll be sending updated transcripts for the 1st and 2nd quarters when available. They might even just ask your school for them- just make SURE you mention it as the first thing in the "Additional Info" section and make sure your counselor will send out those transcripts.
