Early action questions

Let's say that I got into a school via early action. I know that this information is off-the-record, but if I apply to more colleges through regular decision, would they have any knowledge about my early admission? Is there any way/chance that they would be able to acquire that information? I keep on hearing mixed answers...

If you apply Early Action to a school, you can apply to others. Early Action is non-binding.

If you apply Early Decision to a school, you can apply to others; however, if accepted to the ED school, you must withdraw all other applications to regular decision schools. Early Decision is binding.
