As Dec. 15th (possibly earlier) quickly approaches, I figured it would be useful to start a new thread to post our results. We can also have any final pre-decision discussion on this thread (e.g. final thoughts, freaking out, when ppl are expecting to receive the letter based on geographic location, etc.)

I think we should use the same general format that has been used the last couple years.. but we can change it up if better ideas are brought up. Here is the format from last year.

FORMAT:

Decision: [Accepted]

Stats:

SAT: [1600]

SAT IIs: [800, 800, 800]

GPA: [4.0 uw/5.0w]

Rank: [1/435]

Other stats: [5's on AP US History, AP Biology]

Subjective:

Essays: [the best i've ever written]

Teacher Recs: [excellent]

Counselor Rec: [amazing]

Hook (if any): [legacy, connections, state is one that there aren't many applicants for, cured cancer - whatever you think made your app special, etc. - WHETHER YOU WERE ACCEPTED OR NOT!]

if accepted are we supposed to get like some thick package or is it a simple letter either way? if there is a difference I will just save myself the agony of opening a small letter and send it straight to the shredder

Oooo this thread just made me really nervous! If I get deferred, I wont be CRUSHED so I will probably post my stats and everything. Crossing my fingers for an acceptance though :)

Brdwnidgrl493 -- according to a previous thread an acceptance letter is an envelope with 3 pages in it. A deferral letter is an envelope with one page in it.

Looks like we are all gonna have to open up and see....

my friend who also applied to gtown early told me she heard it from someone who got in last year... like i said its not completely legit, but if it's true then we might know by friday or saturday.

Select "letter," put in "20057" for "From ZIP Code" and your own ZIP code in for "To Zip Code." That'll tell you how many days a First Class letter will take to get to you from Georgetown.

Soccer4921, please let us know what you find out as soon as you can. I live in Southern Louisiana, so I think we're in the same boat: 3 days for a letter from D.C.
