wth. how does cali get letters but KS doesn't?
it doesn't matter, i will get deferred. My interview was terrible.

I still haven't gotten mine.

I have a question, if something was missing from your application, like a teacher's report or something, would Georgetown have let you know by now?

I know I probably have everything in and in order, but I'm getting really concerned that I maybe forgot to send something in.

yeah they would have already done that.

mail not coming on sundays is stupid. completely bends to religion. it should be changed. immediately...

Oh my god!!! Accepted! Thank you, god!

why did california get letters but not texas... :/

Yes. I spoke to an admissions officer abotu it. They inform you about 2 weeks before htey mail out decisions if anything's missing.

Well, if California's getting them, mine should come on Monday...

Does anyone know if acceptance letters and deferrals are mailed at the same time? I haven't gotten anything yet in Ohio, so I'm a little nervous...

There seems to be about an equal number of acceptances and deferrals being reported on this website, so I'd guess that they mailed them all at once.

Accepted!!!! Asdfalsdkfasldfkasldfkasldfk

Im from CA - Coachella Valley. The only thing I could possibly imagine why we are getting them here in CA is if Georgetown staggered their letters by sending them out to different regions on different days. Maybe CAs letters were sent on wednesday to ensure that they arrived by the 15th.

Congrats to everyone accepted! I hope you all watched the georgetown memphis game today. Get excited!

Hey everyone,

I know exactly how you are all feeling right now; I was in the same boat one year ago, and just reading your threads brings back that feeling. I was deferred, and G'town was my top choice. Ultimately, I was accepted, so please use me as a resource if you would like to learn how to gain that extra edge to push through. Basically, I kept in constant contact with my interviewer (who was pushing for me, I'll admit), and I sent the Admissions Committee a video explaining why I wanted to go to g'town.

Assuming you all meet the high academic threshold, what the university looks for next is true desire to go here. After all, what affects their rank # is their yield rate, so in addition to extending admission offers to the top academic candidates, they also are looking for a commitment to attend.

I was miserable at this point one year ago, and, again, I feel for you. But look- I'm here now, and you can do it too. Let me know if you have any questions. Best of luck.

Do I understand that Georgetown rejects no one and always just defers EA/ED candidates? Hmm.. I don't get that.

However.. Congratulations to everyone who is done with the college application process and to those who have work yet to do... good luck to you.

accepted to MSB! Wahooooooo

i'm in california....no letter.

i cannot stand this waiting...its making me even more pessimistic. but congrats to all the acceptees! and to those who were deferred...15% of you will still get in rd! that's a lot! that's whats tying me over in anticipation of my deferral :)

Deferrrrrrred. But I did get into Notre Dame, soo..

Deferred... :( its ok! Congratulations to everyone who got in! To those of us deferred, its ok! we will end up somewhere great!
