Does it really matter WHEN they sent them? It's not like you're gonna intercept the USPS truck midway on route and take the letter. You know when you'll get them, so maybe you all should stop calling the admissions office. I've checked a few threads and it seems like ten different people called asking the same question. From someone who has worked in an office and basically answered phone calls 5 hours a day for just one month, getting called day after day about something that doesn't really make a difference is the most annoying thing in the world. At the latest, you'll find out on the 16th by phone. The majority of us should get them in 5 days or less.

i emailed them last nite and got this today

"Thank you for your letter and your interest in Georgetown. Decision letters have not yet been mailed out. They are sent out in such as a way as to arrive for the most part on the 15th. We cannot be any more precise than that, as there are a number of logistical factors at play that can affect the exact date and time that letters are mailed.

Please let us know if we may be of any further assistance.

Best Regards,

sorry that we would like to see you sit in front of your computer until Monday like it's life support but we can send your letter once we have enjoyed watching this enough.

While waiting for results (kind of like waiting for the polls to close on election day) it might be productive to establish how to record the decisions. Dartmouth seems to have done so by lists of "accepted" "deferred" or "rejected." That might make sense for Dartmouth, but where GU has separate admissions for individual schools we might want to break it down per school.

I propose a structure as follows. Each CC'er adds his/her CC name on the appropriate line. That way we won't get a very looooong list that has to be scrolled through. If anyone wants to add stats or other info it can be done in (parentheses) after each CC name.

im home from school now...waiting for mail...i feel like i might get mine today but i honestly dont know....a friend of a friend's father works at Gtown and he told us that they were sent out...but that was yesterday so i have no idea when or what time or how many......UGH!!!

Its crazy how much can be lost in translation.
theres just been so many conflicting reports: 2 days ago someone said they knew someone in MD who had been accepted.. then yesterday some1 called admissions who supposedly said they had already all been sent, then last night someone supposedly got an email from admissions basically saying nothing will really be early.

Its just a mystery whether people have been misinformed or are deliberately toying with us or admissions is lying. probably a combination of all three.

gahhh...the mail guy is on the other side of the street, i am tempted to run across the street and demand he look for my letter immediately....but it's snowing and i'm too sick to leave the house :(
