Early Action schools... are there any?

I honestly have been trying to find out which schools are truly Early Action- not single-choice, not binding. Does anyone have a comprehensive list?

Chicago, Georgia

I think the highest ranked one would be Georgetown University, but I forget which school are where on the list anymore.

I think Georgetown is Single-Choice though?

You can search for ED or EA colleges.

...except for MIT and Caltech. :)

I'm pretty sure MIT and CalTech are two of them.

I think BC has EA, at least it did, a friend applied this year.

BC and Georgetown don't let you apply EA if you apply ED elsewhere. Otherwise, no restrictions.

Ah- I was wrong. I guess my friend who applied to Gtown EA just happened to apply to there and nowhere else. :-)

UNC-CH too

Any school with rolling admissions, in essence, has an early action option if you choose to apply early.

No place allows you to apply if you ED somewhere else. Pretty sure of that since most ED schools write that term into their ED agreement.

If you're meaning openly EA schools, then Caltech, MIT, and Georgia Tech are a few of the most well known, if you're into science.

Select programs at UT-Austin, such as Business Honors or Plan II. Hendrix College does rolling admissions, so it is essentially a non-binding early action program.

PM Carolyn, and ask her. She probably has a link that she could send you.

kamikaze- that is incorrect. You can apply ED at many schools and also EA at the non single-choice schools such as Chicago. If you get into your ED school, you have to give up the EA school and all the others, of course. So-you could apply ED to Penn and EA to Georgia and Chicago and rolling to Indiana and you would be fine.

You took the words right out of my mouth! Bard has an excellent admissions philosophy including instant admission from an interview on-campus. Nothing is binding and you have until April to decide.

thats a lot of why i'm so attracted to bard and will probably be going there in the fall!

My daughter's looking forward to it, too. Just waiting to hear about that all-important financial aid! Fingers crossed; it's her first choice and EA is quite the civilized way to hear.

The CommonApp college list also tells you which schools have EA.
