Early Action Schools..

I was wondering as I was filling out my common app..
Can I apply for Standford (Early Action Restrictive) and UChicago (Early Action) at the same time? If yes, can I apply for other non-binding non-restrictive early action schools too? Thanks!

No, if you apply to Stanford EA, you cannot apply to the University of Chicago EA.

[Restrictive Early Action : Stanford University](http://www.stanford.com/dept/uga/application/decision_process/restrictive.html)

If you choose to apply to Stanford RD, you can apply to other schools EA.

If you are applying to U Chicago under EA as an international student, you won’t be eligible for financial aid, but can still apply for merit-based scholarship

um, thanks. but doesn’t UChicago have a non-binding Early-Action policy, which I believe falls into one of the exceptions?

d122002: Applying to both Chicago and Stanford early doesn’t break Chicago’s rules. It breaks Stanford’s rules. As is written,

Chicago’s process is Early Action. Therefore, you can’t apply to Stanford SCEA if you apply to Chicago EA. Regardless of whether or not Chicago is non-binding (almost all EA is non-binding).

This would be the case if the University of Chicago was a public institution. That exception was designed so applicants could still apply early to their state universities.

No you cannot.

I would suggest against applying to “Standford” if you can’t even spell the university correctly…

I’m just being a ■■■■■, what everyone else said. :)

they came up with a spelling check, and I make the most out of it.
also, it’s not on the SATs ha
