How many schools actually accept Early Action? How come websites only list Early Decision? Does EA actually improve one's chances?

Thanks.

I'm sorry, what do you mean by "how come websites only list Early Decision"? Are you referring to individual school websites, or one website that lists all schools with ED?

Colleges will offer either EA or ED; few if any offer both (I have yet to find one that does offer both). I've heard that EA doesn't improve ones chances as much as ED, because there's no guarantee that accepted students will attend.

Yes, I'm talking about individual school websites. They only tell about ED.

EA can improve chances of admission at small LACs, if you show strong interest in the school. It can also improve your chances, if the school you applied to EA appeared on the NACAC list of colleges who had vacancies in their freshman and Xfr classes after May 1, and who may be more eager to improve their yield.

Schools that have EA will have information regarding EA on their website; not all schools have EA, just like not all schools have ED.
