Early Action Test Score Deadlines

I took my SAT in October and am applying early to some schools. Can I send my October SAT Results when it comes around the end of october to the schools? the scores will reach to the colleges around November 15th or so. I know most schools accept them until like December, but I recently read on UMichigan’s website about how they don’t accept October scores for early action which doesn’t make sense:

https://admissions.umich.edu/apply/freshmen-applicants/requirements-deadlines
“***Your SAT/ACT test scores must be sent directly from the testing agency and received in our office by our deadline. Rush paper scores are not accepted. Scores from tests taken in October will not arrive in time to complete the application for Early Action. If you have not yet had your scores reported, you can have them sent to us using these links:”

I took an SAT earlier in June as well. Should I send that score and then the October score when it comes??

The other schools I am applying early to are: GMU, UVA, Purdue, and Ohio State University

UMich requires score received by deadline or your EA application will be automatically deferred. If you have earlier score even if it is less desirable, you should submit it first to make your application complete while pending for new score.
Each school has a different policy. Some would specific the last date of grace period (which is usually ~2 weeks after deadline). Other would list the last test date assuming you pre-order the score report.

Thanks! Will UMich still consider the October score once it comes?

Yes, if it arrives before review which is likely after mid November. Make sure you mark the October score pending in your CommonApp and has an earlier score submitted before deadline. Note that it typically takes 5 business day to process the score report order. Don’t wait till next week to submit as it usually takes longer during prime time.
