Early Action to Brown or UPenn?

I was wondering whether I should apply early action to Brown or UPenn because they have single choice EA. I don't have too much of a shot of getting in to either, but do you think EA will help me more for Brown or UPenn? Here are my stats:

Undergrad program I'm applying to: Biomedical Engineering

Freshman GPA: 4.08/4.08
Sophomore GPA: 4.22/4.56
Junior GPA: 4.32/4.72
Senior GPA: 4.80/4.80

Honors/AP Courses Taken:
9th: Honors Algebra 2

10th: Honors Pre-calculus, AP Euro, AP Bio, & AP Human Geography.

11th: Honors Spanish, AP U.S. History, AP Physics B, AP Calc AB, & AP Lang & Comp.

12th: AP Political Science, AP Physics C, AP Calc BC, AP Lit. & Comp., & AP Chemistry.

SAT: CR + M = 1400
Cumulative GPA: 4.21/4.45 = 95%

I have volunteered over 250 hours at my local hospital. Have done close to 100 hours of service in school.

I do Taekwondo, am captain of my School's ultimate frisbee team, and founded an environmental society in the school. We built a solar car for the Winston solar challenge and placed in the top 5 in our first year. We were the only high school in our ENTIRE state to participate in such an event.

I am an AP Scholar with Honor.
In the National Honor Society
In the Spanish National Honor Society

There’s a lot more but I’m not going to put down everything.

Brown and Penn? They both have ED, not SCEA…

Transcript look good. EC’s seem somewhat lacking. Scores are slightly under-par.

FYI, all ivies except for Cornell look at SAT Writing.

Since it is ED, apply to your absolute top choice. You shouldn’t use an ED to increase your chances at a school you are applying for simply because of its prestige (if that is the case). If you really want to go to one or the other and are willing to go there over all other schools, then apply ED to that school.

similar to above reply, except that I would say that if you are sitting on the fence between 2 schools, you should not apply ED to either and apply RD to both (ED does not give you much if any advantage at getting in , except if the school has the feeling that you are absolutely right for that school, and that much wanting to go to the school, and even then it is a very minimal edge. ) By applying to both you will have more time to really do a good job on the applications, and will be more sure of where you prefer to be.
