I would not assume not hearing means bad news. I think Wooster released some decisions early for students who applied well before the EA deadline and were highly qualified. But it looks like last year the decisions were released around 12/23.

D’s letter specifically said they were letting her know early. And she did apply well ahead of the deadline.

@LeftofPisa and @OHMomof2 thanks for the reassuring words. He did send the common app about a week before the deadline so maybe that is why.

My daughter is also waiting for her EA response. She applied only a few days before the deadline, so we’ll just chill out and wait.

My S received his acceptance by e-mail today!

Acceptance email and $22K Dean’s Scholarship!

My D received her acceptance by email last night.

My D receive her acceptance by email and the package also arrived in the mail today!

Daughter accepted with $24K per year scholarship. But will be turning down as also go into ED school

No response as of yet. Is that a bad sign?

I hope not @bigtim2000. We’re also still awaiting a decision.

Daughter received her first acceptance from Wooster last week. Look forward to visiting in April and finishing up her other applications this week. Congrats to everybody else who got in EA to COW! Oh yes, she also received an offer for a Dean’s scholarship. She hopes to run for the cross country/track team if she attends.

From the wooster website:

Merit Scholarships
DEAN’S SCHOLARSHIP
Details: Receive up to $23,500 per year. (*Please note that all applicants are automatically considered for a Dean’s Scholarship and do not need to submit additional materials.) but since a few of us have reported higher I think it’s been bumped a little since then.

Was accepted with Dean’s scholarship, 24K per year. It looks like everyone’s getting scholarships, nice jobs!
Also accepted with a 24k scholarship. I will be attending Wooster in the fall for business economics! I’ve done some good research into the program, but if anyone would be willing to tell me about it, please do so!
