Early action yale , or not?

would it improve my chances of getting accepted?
ive got really good grades (80%+) ; perfect letter of recs; amazing extracurriculars..
but i dont expect really good SATs.. but if you forget about the sats..

do i have the same chance of getting accepted regular as early or not?
or do people that apply early have a better chance of getting accepted?

thankss!!!

Have a look at people who applied SCEA last year.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/yale-university/802975-yale-2014-ea-pledge-thread.html

Mediocre SATs and 80s GPA won’t get you noticed, I’m afraid.

Here are people who applied EA and RD and their results

oh ok , thanks ! :)

but uhmm actually i still dont understand…
does applying early improve your chances of getting accepted or not?
or would it be the same…

SCEA does not improve your chances of being accepted.

thanks!! I decided I’m not applying early, instead I’ll just apply regular :)

SCEA would not improve your chances. The applicant pool in the SCEA round is comprised of the kids who are good enough for any top school, but don’t want to tie themselves down with Brown, Dartmouth, Columbia, Cornell, Penn, or Duke. Think about it that way…

Also applying as an international further decreases your chances unfortunately.

whoaaaah? applying as an international DECREASES your chances?!

Yes, because they can only admit so many internationals from a pool that is mostly dominated by far-east Asian academic powerhouses.

oh ok thanks!
