Early Action. Yay, or Nay??? Please Help Me Decide!

So I've read on the ND website where it says, "The Admissions Committee advises students to apply in the Early Action process only if they are in the very top ranges of our applicant pool."

Basically the highlights of my application are...
-SAT 1470/2220
-1st in class of 126
-9 AP classes. Two 5's and two 4's so far.
-All A's regardless of weighting.
-Officer in several clubs. (President, Founder/President, Treasurer, Vice President)
-Varsity Football and Track and Field
- and finally...I'm a legacy.

Now that I've brought my SAT up 100 points I'd like to think I'm in the "top range of the applicant pool." Is this the case? Should I indeed confidently apply through EA?
Thanks.

You will have no problem getting in. I think you’ll get accepted EA, worst case is that you’ll get deferred and accepted in the RD pool.

They LOVE valedictorians! It’s part of their stats! You’re in for sure, but you prob already know that, right ?

Okay thanks so much! I guess I was just looking for a confidence boost. Last time I asked for EA chances (100 points ago on the SAT), the response wasn’t so positive. I’ll send my application this afternoon. Can’t wait :)
