Holliesue, yes, it’s nice to have the acceptance letter in hand, but it’ll be even nicer to have an award in hand. The award will determine whether my son will attend Juniata or one of the other schools he got into. But all his schools were very similar in admission stats/difficulty, so I’m hoping for a similar award here.

And Emilybee, I laughed when you wrote that your son never checked his status online. I guess it’s boys, because I had to remind my son to check this afternoon or we wouldn’t even know. If I’d known his password, I probably would have been checking every couple of hours!

horsfeathers. It isn’t just boys. D doesn’t check for application statuses, or for that matter, get the mail, unless I tell her to do so!!!

we are in the same boat re: merit awards…although my D should get a good one from Juniata based on what they say the criteria are. Good luck to you!

I got my acceptance in the mail today!! It came with the financial award letter.

Both letters were so nice. My enrollment counselor mentioned my musical commitment. And it included a card that I can send back to get a T-Shirt! Gotta love the personal touches :-)

Congrats sevenstars… Will u be attending Juniata?

D’s snail mail offer of admission finally came today! Very excited…nice touch offering free Juniata merchanise
She loves this school (and one other…)!!!

My d received her acceptance packet in the mail yesterday - which also included a nice letter from her admissions counselor. She also applied for one of the Fellows programs. I think they don’t hear about that until later. Did anyone else apply for one of them?

cocoa123-congrats. yes my D also applied for a Fellows. They are being reviewed, and if selected for an interview they will be contacted. (sometime in the next few weeks I believe). Good luck!!!

Not sure whether I’ll attend…depends on how my other choices pan out, and whether I am selected for the Fellows program that I applied to.

Still haven’t heard anything.
Checked my status online and it says I should learn of my decision by early february.

all4game-I guess if you don’t hear anything by next week you could call. I know that one of their staff had a death in the family and it caused their paperwork to get backed up a bit.

Ah, okay, thanks. I’m not too interested in attending Juniata at this point, and I’m pretty certain of my decision anyway, so I won’t bug them.
