Is anyone else waiting to hear? My daughter and I heard a rumor that notices were being sent out on December 19th (see a thread below.) We thought we’d start a thread to see if anyone has heard yet. Does Bard have any kind of online notice about acceptances?

I’ve been waiting! Everyone is already getting accepted to other schools. It’s killing me. I dont think I’ll make it. I have a 3.4 gpa and have taken tons of AP classes, but am still worried.

From the Bard website…

Q: When can I expect to find out Bard’s decision?

A: Early Action applicants will be notified by January 1. Immediate Decision Plan will be mailed the decision the following day. Regular Decision applicants will be notified of the Admission Committee decision around April 1.

Q: How can I expect to receive your decision? Can I get it by phone or online?

A: Bard does not currently release admission decisions over the phone. Students will be notified of their admission status via mail. International students may receive their decisions via e-mail. Decisions are mailed in late March for Regular Admission, and in mid to late December for Early Action Admission.

I haven’t gotten anything yet! I heard the decision came through the mail but apparently it’s through email? If that’s the case then I think we can expect to receive our decisions tomorrow. I really want to know!

That would be awesome if we hear tomorrow, but where did you hear that the notification is through email? That’s not what the website says…

sounds like snail mail for in-country and email for international…best of luck to everyone, let us know when you hear anything. I would figure they would finish this up before the holidays? It would be great to hear before Christmas

If it’s anything like last year, I received my notification on December 22nd. I suppose it’ll depend how far you are from the campus’s area.

Thanks windylights. We are actually in upstate NY. Where were you from?

Has anyone spoken with Bard on the phone and knows for sure that they will mail out decisions this week?

I emailed them last week and they were just finishing the admissions process. They said that they should hopefully be mailed out this week. good luck to you all

Still waiting to hear…I’m not too anxious since I’ve already gotten into a few colleges, but I’m curious and would love to know this week. Does anyone know if merit aid information comes with decisions or later in the year?

Please post when you get your letters so I know when to expect it! I’m from mass, and I hope it doesn’t take long.

My mom talked to them today and they said they’d send out the letters tomorrow, December 20th

I spoke to them today – they’re mailing them this afternoon!

Bummer they’re mailing them today, I’m in California, so I doubt Ill get mine before I leave for vacation! Oh well, I wish they had used email like every other school!

My daughter got her letter this morning…Bard Class of 2016!

Hey guys, I got my acceptance letter today! I’m from CT so I don’t know when everyone else will get it, but good luck to all!

Congratulations @atidrep (and daughter) and @lecorbett7. Great news.

Congratulations to those who received acceptances! Was it just a letter or a whole packet of info? My daughter’s should come today, but Bard is a reach for her. She has been trying to mentally prepare herself for bad news. Can those who were accepted post their stats?

Accepted from MA :)

The acceptance letter came in a regular sized envelope but it was pretty thick so I could pretty much tell what it was.

Stats: 2350 SAT, 4.36 GPA, decent ECs (people from my school have gotten in with much lower stats though, Bard was a safety for me)
