Early Action

Does anyone know if it says anywhere on the portal that you applied EA?

D applied in September and still hasn’t heard. If you go under App Checklist it will tell you what they received and what they still need. It doesn’t tell you if you’re ED, EA or regular.

D got accepted today! She even got a 15k/yr scholarship!

How were you notified of the acceptance and when did your daughter apply? Congrats

She got the big envelope in the mail today. The portal still doesn’t say accepted anywhere. She applied the second it became available in early September.

Congrats eyemamom! I hope my D hears soon, she applied mid-October.

Congrats eyemamom!!! We are waiting patiently…DS applied 11/1. I guess if your daughter applied in September we still have awhile to go…I just keep telling myself to be patient!

My daughter applied in early November and heard before Christmas break. She was accepted to business school with a 15K scholarship as well. Good luck to everyone!

Congratulations fluteninja! May I ask when you sent in your application?

accepted for sports management!

S accepted into Park School of Communications for Cinema and Photography. Big envelope arrived today, website has not been updated yet.

I checked the website and today status has changed from “applied” to “accepted on 1/17”! I hope the envelope arrives today!!

NYgiants17 and dogsrthebest…congrats on acceptances! May I ask if Merit awards are included with the acceptances or do we have to wait longer?

@tpcrd66…I am hoping merit is awarded later as there was nothing in my S’s letter, but in all honesty I am not holding my breath as I see other people on this blog have posted they got money which I assume was in their letter. Maybe those folks can comment on how they found out about merit Money or maybe NYgiants17 got money? A big bummer that my S didn’t get any money if in deed it comes with the letter. It won’t keep him from going but it will be part of the decision making process since he has other acceptances. It would be hard to walk away from Park School.

@dogsrthebest FYI: My son’s merit award was not in his letter of acceptance, but instead in a separate letter included with the acceptance letter. He did not realize there was a second page, as the pages were completely aligned and crisp, like new dollar bills. It wasn’t until much later that I was looking at his acceptance folder that I noticed there was more than one page – in fact there were 3 pages, the third being instructions for enrolling. You may want to double check his letter and folder.

Congrats OHDavid! May I ask if it was a “generous” award? It’s a very high price tag so the amount will mean alot!!

@OHDavid, I only wish. I thought of that at the time he opened the packet in hopes pages were stuck together. Not so :frowning:
Money have been nice but it is ok. It is what it is and if this is the best place for him it will work out in the end.

i received an award of $10,000 that came with my acceptance letter

nygiants17…wow! That’s terrific!! Congratulations!
