<p>Is UND's early action non-binding? And also why is it that it is harder to get in without EA, than RD? That seems to be the opposite at all the other colleges</p>

<li>It just is how ND treats EA. A lot of colleges give early applications preference because they view it as a way for the applicant to show that that school is their number 1. ND, however, wants its very best applicants to apply EA, since they don't have much time to look at those applications, and then they can spend more time with the more borderline applications. It is just a different way to use EA.</li>
