I would just like to start this thread for people who have been accepted to JMU who applied early action. I got my acceptance letter today in the mail!

Just wanted to say congratulations!

congrats! still nervously waiting here... :)

Does the website admission status page say you have been accepted or does it just stay stuck on "application complete" ?

the admissions page has not changed and it says application complete, just hope for a large white envelope in the mail!

NJres, last year notification came by mail only. My son received his in a small envelope. I remember b/c I thought it was a rejection, since it was a small thin envelope. It was a letter of acceptance. It was followed by a large white envelope a few days later.

hey i got in!!!!!! ^^

congrats to others who got in

Reading is helpful. I have been checking that website several times each day for the past month and never bothered to read:

"JMU respects your confidentiality and therefore no personal data or admission decisions will be posted on this site."

Nothing in today's mail. :(

nothing here either

accepted early action!

I'm curious about the people who got in EA. What were your stats like? Any idea of the criteria for EA this year.

i got in EA.
sat- 2000 (or 1340)
gpa- 3.6 uw 4.1 w
undecided major

Wow i still cant believe i got in i wasnt expecting it at all! found out today:) Congrats to all who got in:)

I see from the JMU website that EA decisions were mailed on January 10. They also say, "JMU does not share decisions on the phone or by e-mail." Nothing in today's mail. I can't help being annoyed at JMU for sticking to an antiquated notification policy and the USPS for taking (apparently, at least) a week to deliver (or lose) a letter from VA to NJ.

So I guess if we don't receive anything by April 1, 2007 we will send them a letter.

I'm instate and haven't received my letter yet.

I received my letter in NJ today and was accepted. I anticipated getting in, but it was still nice to have some confirmation.

JCT Congratulations! NJres, I remember the wait last year. It won't be much longer.

Big envelope came today. (1 week including holiday)

NJres, Congratulations to you and your son! I knew it would not be much longer. Funny, my son got a small envelope first, last year. The big one followed a few days later.

I just got my acceptance letter the other day :] does anyone know if they're definitely going??

I got accepted but I won't be going since I got accepted into my first choice (Colorado College) early action as well.
