early action?

If I'm applying EA to Chicago, am I still allowed to apply ED to another college at the same time?

Probably not. You need to read the ED requirements for the other college very carefully.

Well, the college I'm applying ED says I'm allowed to apply EA to other colleges unless it is a single-choice EA. Chicago does not have "single-choice" EA, and it does not say that I cannot apply ED to another college... any other thoughts?

Then that's fine, just be aware that if you are accepted at your ED college, you are obligated to matriculate there.

Just to second menloparkmom--- Make sure that you will not regret the ED acceptance if the EA Chicago comes through! That thought kept some I know from applying ED (yes, even ivy schools) along with the Chicago EA.

That happened to me, glasses! I was all set to apply early decision to the University of Pennsylvania, but it turned out I want to go to the University of Chicago so badly that I'm now applying regular decision. :]

Oh ShanFan I'm hoping you have your choice in spring!
